VoIP Telephones- Without a Network Cable?

Businesses who are looking to upgrade to a new cloud based VoIP telephone system often wonder if they can reuse any of their network cables for the voice, along with the existing data network. The answer is, happily, “yes”! However, what about locations in the building that do not currently have a data cable but require a telephone? Are there any options besides running a new cable? Again, the answer is “yes”!

For VoIP installations where cables are not in every location, CSM South recommends the Yealink WF40 or WF50. These tiny dongles plug into the USB ports on Yealink VoIP telephones, accessing the company WiFi network. They work well, are surprisingly affordable, and are just plain cool! Some notabel features include:

  • Compatible with Yealink SIP-T27G/T41S/T42S/T46S/T48S IP Phone
  • Interface free, plug and play
  • Reliable
  • Affordable
  • Connect to a 2.4GHz (150 Mbps) Wi-Fi network or a 5GHz (up to 433 Mbps) Wi-Fi network
The Yealink W40/50 allows VoIP telephones to be connected to the system even if no network cable is present

CSM South is excited about this Yealink product and unhesitatingly recommends it for our cloud VoIP implementations.
